La Chiantata has been a family retreat for generations, beginning as a simple farmhouse in the early 1900s.
Over the years, it has grown into a beautiful Mediterranean villa, blending modern comforts with the charm of its farmhouse roots. We are excited to share this special place with guests, and we hope you’ll love it as much as we do.

We met in London in 2001, married in 2004, and still live in the UK today. In 2006, we took over La Chiantata and renovated it into our family holiday home. Raffaele and Lara have shared many special moments here with their grandparents, Blandina and Marcello. After welcoming friends over the years, we opened the villa to guests in 2016.
The Olive Grove
La Chiantata spans 10 acres, including beautiful gardens and an olive grove. During your stay, you’ll be surrounded by a working olive farm and will have the opportunity to enjoy our own olive oil, Golden Nectar. As part of the farming process, our farmer will tend to the trees and olives a few times a year, which may coincide with your visit. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or amend your booking you must telephone us as soon as possible. A phone call must be followed by an email for the cancellation to take effect. Contact here
In all circumstances we will try to rent the property again for this period and if so, would refund the difference minus costs incurred.

F.A.Q.
Do you cater for babies and toddlers?
Yes, we do have a good range of items and furniture for babies and toddlers, we have had up to five* babies staying at the same time. We have cot beds, changing table, potty, high chairs, children’s plates and glasses, blender and last but not least, we do have a toddler pool and you can activate the infra-red pool fence for security when you are not around the pool. We have a lot of toys and ride-ons for toddlers too. Anecdote: our son learned to walk on the tennis court’s flat surface!
*We can provide up to 2 cot beds free, any further cot will be charged.
Are you a bed and breakfast?
No we are not. Our house manager Cristiana could deliver fresh bread and milk upon request, please contact us now to arranged well in advance and get a quote!
Do you have a BBQ?
Yes, we do have a large BBQ, actually there are two BBQs and one on the upstairs terrace too!. We also have a wood-fired pizza oven and free wood. If you don’t feel confident enough to use it, you can pre-arrange for our house manager to show you or book her to do it for you.
Can we book a home cooked meal?
Yes you can, we please speak to us before arrival or speak to our house manager for details and costs.
Can I hire a cook or get take-away?
Please enquire and we will organise something if possible. Our lovely house manager Cristiana is an excellent cook too. We can also arrange a professional cook and catering for groups and parties.
Where can we visit with the kids?
There is plenty to visit with the kids, if they want to leave the estate that is…. Please find a selection here.
Are there good restaurants nearby?
There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, you will need a car though. There are some places in San Vito too. Please see here for a selection of restaurants. We also recommend to use Trip Advisor for the most up to date reviews or ask our lovely house manager.
Is the al fresco cinema open?
Yes, during the warm season you can book a cinema night for you and your party. Speak to our house manager for details and costs.
